Stephen T. Kitagawa

Senior Associate

Stephen Kitagawa has over 25 years of experience as an attorney representing a wide range of clients from individuals to multinational corporations in all stages of litigation through trial in both State and Federal courts. He is a senior attorney with the firm practicing Business, Construction, Real Estate Litigation, and Privacy Compliance. 

Mr. Kitagawa has over 15 years of first chair trial experience and has prepared and argued appeals before State and Federal Courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals, 9th Circuit. He has trained attorneys and staff in litigation techniques, appeals, and various compliance related matters.  His experience in business and real estate law has been instrumental in litigating and resolving issues with municipalities, private individuals, and various entities.  He has also been successful in representing construction companies in complex public construction litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, for over three years, he immersed himself in developing and integrating privacy management compliance solutions for various clients.  Along with technologists, data retrieval experts, and cybersecurity experts, Mr. Kitagawa helped initiate and develop a consulting practice related to legal compliance under privacy laws, including the GDPR, the CCPA, and CPRA.
